How to Install Facebook or Google Pixel on a Single Page or Entire Website
This article is on how to add your Facebook or Google pixel to your website, as well as add the conversion event or conversion tag to specific pages on your site to track different events. Whether that’s a lead, a purchase or an add to cart, etc.
Once you’ve logged into WordPress, navigate to Plugins and click Add New.
Type in “Header and Footer Scripts” on the search box.
Note: Make sure you don’t mistake Header and Footer Scripts plugin with Insert Headers and Footers plugin. Insert Headers and Footers allows you to put your Google or Facebook Pixel across your whole site, but it doesn’t allow you to place your conversion pixels or conversion tags on a specific page. So make sure you’re using the one that says Header and Footer Scripts.
Once the plugin is installed, go to Settings and click Header and Footer Scripts.
Now you can add your Facebook or Google pixel in the header or footer section. So what that’s going to do is make sure that your pixel is showing across your whole website. That way you can track page views and things like that.
Now, if you’d like to add your conversion event or your conversion pixel to an individual or specific pages, you would just navigate to Pages and click the page you want to add to your event to. Whether that’s a lead, add to cart, or purchase.
Then just scroll down and then you can add that specific event at the textbox found at the bottom. Once you’ve added it there, click Update, and then from there, you should be good to go.
